Aim
Participants will learn methods to enable them to make an effective contribution to the training and development of others whilst learning how to use their own natural style to put the learning across effectively.

- Identifying the stages of the systematic training cycle
- Identifying how adults learn; their motivations and differing learning styles
- Appreciating the importance of setting specific and measurable objectives
- Identifying the importance of pre and post course support for delegates and their line managers
- Identifying how participation can be encouraged and managed in training sessions
- Identifying the skills of facilitation
- Identifying the steps to putting a training plan together
- Considering how to handle difficult delegates
- Identifying how learning can be evaluated
- Practicing skills; putting skills into practice
The event will be participative with a variety of training aids used to cater for the differing learning styles likely to be present in the group. Respecting the need for confidentiality delegates are invited to share their experiences in this area and to ask questions at any time.
