Overview

Greensleeves Homes Trust is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation managing residential care homes for older people. Greensleeves Homes Trust is a member of the National Care Forum.

The Need

Greensleeves identified that the Home Managers and their Deputies needed to develop their people management skills. Running a successful Care Home requires the ability to manage a diverse work force, operating effectively on a twenty four basis.

The Solution

Focal Point devised a Management development programme, which was highly participative and particularly encouraged the participants to share best practice amongst the different homes. We used practical exercises and case studies to develop their skills in a very relevant way. Each of them created a specific action plan and we have worked with them since the programme to support them putting this into place.
