Aim

The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the knowledge, skills and confidence to interview employees and potential employees effectively as part of recruitment and selection processes

• Identify and practice the skills of a good interviewer including…
• Setting the scene
• Asking probing questions, pausing and listening to answers
• Documenting the outcomes
• Develop the skill of asking probing questions
• Using the SOAR (Situation, Objective, Action and Result) technique
• Asking questions in the correct (and lawful) way
• Practice their skills

The event will be participative with a variety of training aids used to cater for the differing learning styles likely to be present in the group. Respecting the need for confidentiality delegates are invited to share their experiences in this area and to ask questions at any time.
